Yay! Me!

Hubby took me to a parking lot today to practice...got my license back in March and just got my bike...after my initial apprehension I did pretty good if I do say so myself (though hubby said I did great and he's proud of me)...I definately need more practice, make my left turns more tightly than my right, though on one pass I actually scraped my boot heel on the pavement leaning into it! Thank goodness for my boots! Can't wait to practice more and finally get out there! :)

...nope...LOVE my "rug rats"... boy 9 and girl 5, lights of our lives, they actually can't wait until mommy gets better so we can ALL go out instead of one at a time with daddy! :) your window is closing ours is just opening, i don't mind riding "monkey" for a while longer, it's as good as it gets sometimes! Keep the shiney side up! :)

Kids

LOL yes Kids do suck the life right out of us don't they but hey I would not have it any other way. My girls are 18 and 16 so we are finally getting freedom and we are enjoying it. Our oldest is off at University this year so it is just the 3 of us at home.

Our neighbour has a 750 Shadow and loves it. I am sure you will enjoy riding it! We live in Ontario Canada so our window to ride has almost closed. I already cannot wait until next spring.

..but as most working moms know, your wants/needs come secondary to those of your kids and the rest of your family so due to circumstances, not only was it hard to finally find the TIME to practice, but finding the finances available to buy a bike and insure it took some time also. Kids need new school clothes, dental care, etc. No matter how badly I wanted to get a bike before now, didn't matter, priorities. And now, even though I have the bike (honda shadow aero 750) my kids will always trump whatever urge I have to ride.

Good for you

WOW you got your license in March and are now just riding. I don't know how you waited so long that would have killed me lol. I am a new rider (September) and have 1300k's on my bike already. It really is fun. What bike did you get? You sound so excited! I am sure you will be out on the road before you know it.
