'99 Victory V92C

by Brenda
(Ohio)

I LOVE this bike! I traded my 750 Honda Shadow Ace for it. I knew my husband and I would like to take long trips and I thought the bigger bike would be great and it is! It is a little heavier then the shadow (which I loved to ride too!)therefore making it not as easy for the wind to push around. It corners very nicely. I am looking forward to many years of traveling with this bike!

I test rode the Victory Kingpin. That is a fantastic touring bike! I have owned 2 Honda's since I began riding. After 1 test ride on a Victory and I was sold.

another happy Victory owner.
by: Terri

I have a girlfriend that had a Honda Shadow and traded it in for an '07 Victory. She test rode one and this one that she bought has not been rode yet. She is so itching to get it out on the road to give it a good test. It is beautiful. She had it repainted to her specs. She loves white. So this one is white with feathers on the tank. Purple ones to be exact. That poor girl wants spring to come real fast. I do too, but she wants it more.
Happy riding and enjoy. I love to hear about more women riders.
KTRA, Terri

2010 Victory Crossroads

2010 Victory Crossroads

2010 Victory Crossroads

I stated riding again after 30 years. In June of 2009 I started riding on a Honda 750 Aero. In November of 2009 I fell in love with a Kawasaki 900 LT. After riding 17,000 in 2010 I decided I wanted to move to a larger bike. I had my mind set on the new 2011 Victory Kingpin but my husband encouraged me to try the Cross Roads.

Say no more- I rode it home that same day.

2004 Victory Vegas

by Piper
(North Bend, WA)

2004 Victory Vegas

2004 Victory Vegas

In my opinion, the Victory Vegas is a great bike for women. This is my second bike. My first bike was a 2007 Honda Shadow VLX - another great bike for a woman, especially a new rider like myself. And one who had not ridden a motorcycle before. I found after riding my Honda for 2 years that I really needed a bike with a little more power (so I could keep up with my husband on his Harley and Aprilia sportbike). While it does the job when he rides the Harley, I simply enjoy my ride when he decides to accelerate and have a little fun.

The Vegas' lower seating position (at 26.5 inches - about an inch higher than the Honda Shadow) allows me to be comfortable riding and waiting to ride. The pegs on this bike are similar to the newer model Vegas Low, being pushed back toward the rider a few inches. An advantage for shorter legged women.

My Vegas has updated pipes, therefore, is a little louder than the stock pipes. I suppose it's cool, but I do wear sound buffering ear plugs all the time. It's a little louder than what I prefer.

The only con to this bike is its weight at 620lb. I am 5'7" and about 150lbs myself. I am able to move it around, but sometimes takes a little extra effort maneuvering in/out of the garage between cars, etc. Once on-board, the weight is not an issue.

Handling is nice. Surprisingly, this bike can make tight turns and is good on twisty roads. I have scrapped the pegs a few times, but nothing too scary. The overall ride is smooth. I've ridden my husbands Sportster and like a lot about it, except for the vibration. My Vegas does not vibrate like the Harley.

Guages. I added a tachometer. The base model only came with the speedo. I find the tachometer easy to read and helps keep the engine in a happy place when riding.

Windscreen. Call me a wimp, but I like a windscreen. I don't like the wind right on me when riding. The windscreen does not detract from the look of the bike at all. I also added a leather bag to the windscreen. It holds my wallet, phone and sunglasses perfectly. I picked this up at Fox Creek Leather in a light brown, which goes nicely with my orange bike.

Overall, I believe a great cruiser for women.

Recently purchase 2004 Vegas...
by: Anonymous

Bought one with 17,000 miles on it that looks it just rolled off the showroom floor, couldn't be happier. Personally I think it is way better than a Harley - looks, smoother ride, great sound, and - oh, did I mention looks. Mine doesn't have a Victory emblem on the tank (orange and silver paint) and I am constantly being asked if it is a custom bike. It is a bit hefty (over 600 lbs.) but handles nicely. And there is no way anyone could complain about the power. I no longer want to own a Harley. If I ever get another bike, it will be another Victory. Ride one and you will be a convert too!

I love the Victory MCs. I've sat on a couple and unfortunately my 5'2" won't allow me to own one without a lot of mods to reach the bars, pegs, etc. I still love them! Enjoy!

2009 Victory Kingpin Low (Lowered)

by Kate Roark
(Las Vegas, NV)

Lowered Kingpin Low

Lowered Kingpin Low

I started riding 2 years ago, My first bike was a Yamaha V-star 650 Classic Cruiser. Great Starter bike but couldn't keep up with the Vics in altitude. I graduated to the Victory Kingpin Low and had it lowered 1.25 inches lower to accommodate my 4'10" height. The Kingpin is a lot smoother than the V-star, better balanced and and a lot more powerful with the 1637 cc V-twin engine. I took a 3100 mile trip from Vegas to Montana, on to Sturgis and home via the front range of the Colorado Rockies. I really recommend this bike for women of shorter stature. Safe riding. No matter what you ride... remember to keep your favorite bike "Shiny Side Up"!

Thanks for your special posting. It was heartfelt and so true! I like the idea of 6 speeds and O.D. I'm always looking for that 6th gear when riding - then am kind of embarrassed. I also tease that on cold days in the garage I have an electric blankie for my bike. Not really, but that's how I feel. I totally under the tent!

WE ALL RIDE FOR ALL THE SAME REASONS
by: Lisa

I AM AN OTR (OVER THE ROAD) TRUCK DRIVER MY HUSBAND AND I ARE OWNER OPERATORS, WE BOTH LOVE TO RIDE, MAYBE I AM A BIT MORE OBSESSED WITH IT THAN HE IS, CUZ I WOULD RATHER GO BROKE AND RIDE THAN WORK AND HAVE MONEY TO RIDE... KINDA WEIRD AINT IT..
BUT I HAVE LEARNED, FROM BEING AROUND BIKERS, AND BEING PART OF A WOMANS MOTORCYCLE CLUB AND BEING AROUND OTHER MALE DOMINANT MC'S THAT NO MATTER HOW DIFFERENT WE ALL RIDE FOR THE SAME REASONS, MAYBE THOSE REASONS ARE IN DIFFERENT ORDERS BUT IN THE END WE ALL RIDE BECAUSE IT HEALS THE MIND, HEART AND SOUL.. AND THERE IS NO ROOM IN THE BIKER LIFE FOR DRAMA, AND A$$HOLES... CUZ WHEN WE RIDE, WE PRAY THAT WE WILL RETURN HOME SAFE, BUT WE ALL KNOW THAT THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT WE WONT..

THAT'S WHY YOU FIND BIKERS, ARE REAL PEOPLE, OF COURSE THERE ARE THE BAD APPLES, BUT NO MATTER WHAT IF A BROTHER/SISTER NEEDS HELP OR THEIR FAMILY BIKERS COME TOGETHER AND DO WHAT EVER THEY CAN EVEN IF IT IS GIVING THEIR LAST DOLLAR TO A COMPLETE STRANGER...

WHEN YOU GO SOMEWHERE WHERE THERE ARE NO BIKERS, DO YOU SEE COMPLETE STRANGERS GIVE EACH OTHER A HUG???

NOW TELL ME, WHEN YOU SEE BIKERS GATHER, TELL ME HOW OFTEN DO YOU SEE PEOPLE STAND AROUND AND STAIR WHEN SOMEONE IS TRYING TO PUSH START THEIR BIKE, OR SOMEONE DUMPS THEIR BIKE. YOU ALWAYS SEE SOMEONE LENDING A HAND, STRANGERS OR FRIENDS, BIKERS ARE A LARGE FAMILY...

IN MY PICTURE, I WAS AT A LARGE ARIZONA YEARLY EVENT, MY FIRST TIME GOING, IT STARTED TO RAIN LIKE EVERY YEAR, AND I PUT MY BIKE IN THE TENT, CUZ THERE WAS NO WAY I WAS GOING TO HAVE MY BABY GET WET AND MUDDY WHEN I HAD ROOM IN THE TENT..
LETS SAY MANY GUYS COMMENTED WHEN THEY SAY THE BIKE IN THE TENT, THIS IS WHAT WAS WHAT MY FRIENDS AND I WOULD MOSTLY HEAR... "LOOK AT THAT, NOW THERE IS A GUY THAT LOVES HIS BIKE" OR "THERE IS A GUYS DEDICATION TO HIS RIDE" OR "YOU KNOW A GUY LOVES HIS BIKE WHEN IT HAS ITS OWN TENT"..
SHOULD HAVE SEEN JAWS DROP WHEN THEY FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS A CHIC'S BIKE NOT A GUY'S.. LETS SAY, THE BIKE IN THE TENT BECAME A SPECTACLE AND THAT'S WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT TOUGH BIKER GUYS ARE JUST TOUGH BIKERS WITH LITTLE BOY HEARTS.. 6-7 ASKED TO TAKE A PICTURE WITH OR OF THE BIKE IN THE TENT, AND COUPLE WANTED PIC WITH ME AND THE BIKE AND THEM... LETS SAY IT WAS LOTS OF LAUGHS, AND GREAT MEMORIES.. AND YOU WILL RARELY FIND THE UNITY OF COMPLETE STRANGERS, AND FIND SUCH FUN, AND NEVER WORRY ABOUT YOUR SAFETY WHEN YOU ARE A BIKER...

JUST MY THOUGHTS,
RIDE SAFE, RIDE HARD, LIVE FREE--
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER THE SOLDIERS WHO SACRIFICE EVERYTHING, TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN LIVE TO RIDE, AND RIDE TO LIVE.. THANK EVERY VET YOU SEE, AND LET THEM KNOW YOU CARE AND ARE PROUD OF THEM...

Thanks for sharing the pictures, My next step is to take lessons. I see you are part of a bike club and would like to join one in my state. Happy Riding. Thanks for sharing.

This is my first bike, a 2006 Victory Kingpin Touring. I started riding in 10-2007 and have put about 17,000 miles on it, mostly weekend rides. Only occasionally ride to work, due to helmet head. I was 45 when I started riding, wish I had started much earlier in life.

proud owner of a 2007 kingpin premium thats new to me. it is the orange and white flame paint scheme. got the best compliment of all from a hd rider today. he sais "those victories are pretty nice when you get the custom wheels, paint, chrome, and exhaust put on them". my answer was "this bike is 100% stock from the factory and the only mods are exhaust and bags". his mouth was still had the "o" shape when i was pulling away.
