Update Will have to hold off on trading in my Sportster

by Candy

I guess I will have to wait a year or two before trading in my sportster. My husband’s bike will be paid off within a year and a half and I am afraid I will end up losing out with all the extras I have added. I just added saddle bags last year, new pipes, fender painted. So I am going to keep her. I am going to get new handle bars though for comfort. I want the mini ape hangers. I hate my bars I am leaning way forward on my bike. I will get my Softail deluxe one day. I need to master my Sportster before I get a bigger bike. I will get there with practice. Thanks for all the great advice.

Handbar
by: Anonymous

I had the same problem with the handbar in my 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 900. I had to lead forward alot making my shoulders sore while riding on long trip. Told my husband that I wanted a mini monkey bar or get me Softail Deluxe. He took a long look at my bike to see if there was any possible to change the handbar and wht was needed to buy because of the wires and cables to the hand grips. He went to website called JP Cycle and ordered the mini monkey bar and risers. Before he put them on my Vulcan, he made me sit on the bike and tested the handbar to see if it was exactly right for me without having to lead forward. It turned out perfect. He put them on and testdrove it to make sure it was done right. I am more pleased with the mini monkey bar in my Vulcan. I plan to buy Softail Deluxe later on.
