Just wanted to say that I'm so glad I found this site! I'm a new rider; I took the safety course in June, and just bought my first bike, a 2000 GS500E. So much useful information on this site! I will be checking in often :)
I'm also a knitter and would love to meet some other knitters who ride (or riders who knit, if you prefer)

All that crafty stuff

I've been riding for just over a year, about 11,000 miles. I've found that collecting cool yarns and beads on my travels gives me fond memories when I'm trapped inside in the winter.

Designed a chest-warmer scarf for a rider friend with lung problems that has a pocket over the heart to hold one of those reusable hand-warmers.

I also beaded fun patches for the sleeves of my riding jackets.

Maybe we need a new community on the forum for motorcycle-related creativity!

All the Above!

Knit, crochet and... bling my own gear - including my boots! My next project is going to try to figure out how to crochet the long gloves to fit with my bike gloves to keep my arms warm

Learning to ride was the first on my bucket list at age of 50, and my lifelong hobbies seem to have complemented my new adventure over the past 4 years!
