My new King!

I'm 53 yr old and been riding 4 yrs now. Just bought a new road king and cannot wait for warmer weather to get here. Planning a trip in July to Maine for 2 weeks where we will do day trips and eat lots of seafood. Gonna love it!

Love the road king, but took some getting used to. I also installed the Harley Boom audio system on the bike and love rocking while my knees are in the breeze. Thanks ladies for all your great comments!

Great Ride!

Congrats on the new bike! I know what you mean about the RK ride! I too ride a Road King and love it. I've had mine now for 3 years. I'm only 5'2" and also had to modify the bike for me. But it can be done and us ladies can enjoy what the men do, a nice smooth luxury ride! I also installed a speaker system on my handlebars and I just plug in my mp3 or my phone and enjoy my music while I ride. Enjoy your new RK!!!!

Finally have the bike customized to fit me--$$$ to get it right! I highly recommend the new HD BOOM stereo system with the windshield mounted speaker system.

hwy 32

Know the area well and always enjoy stopping at Bixby for icecream and even breakfast once in awhile. Nice rides in that area and even farther south. If you can make it, ride to Hardy, Ark for lunch at the little mom and pop--great homemade food and a nice ride.

Road King

Hi Shelly - Nice ride. I'm in St Louis, and ride down to your neck of the woods all the time. there are some great roads right in our own backyard. If you want some amusement, take 8 over to Potosi and stop at the BP on the corner of 8 and 21. Its a constant stream of bikers there.
And of course you can't beat a day riding on 32, 19, and V, with a stop at Bixby.

my new king

I have only put 430 miles on the bike so far...we are still getting aquainted! Had to put lots of modifications on the bike to get it to fit me as I'm only 5'4. Be aware, if you want a bigger bike, it will cost you extra to get it to fit you if you are vertically challenged like me. $$$$ for lowering, reach set, new handle bars and grips, kick stand extender etc. Love the ride and power, so smooth. I'm hoping the king and I will be partners a VERY long time.
