You're a total inspiration!!!

I absolutely love hearing about your move to such a fantastic bike and that you're going/or have been doing trackdays!

I have a similar type bike ('03 Z1000 Kawasaki) and a bunch of 2-stroke vintage bikes, and I'm planning on doing my first track day ever this year (I'll be 54 in April). Although I've been riding solo since the late '70s I know I could improve and I hope to continue riding 'til the day I die.

I am newly retired and would love to meet up with you somewhere in the country next summer. Where are you at? I'm in the Pacific NW and we have fantastic roads here, except for the weather I'm spoiled by how good the roads are.

My FZ1 & me

Thanks ladies for all the great comments. Who would have thought that after being on the back since my early 20' I would be enjoy riding my own bike soooo much. We actually have a GoldWing that has almost 110,000 miles on, so up until I started riding my own bike ,we did alot of traveling on it, 2 up..but this last summer it was hardley out of the garage because I wanted to ride & travel on my own.

Also this last weekend we bought another bike an FZ6.. that is strickly going to be our track bike. I highly recommend you ladies on sport bikes, to so and do a couple of track days, you will gain so much confidence down those corners.

Will try and keep everyone posted on my track days and maybe some pictures. I have alot of our travel & event pictures posted on my facebook page..Barbara Buffington.

And a quick word to beginners, just get and put miles on your bike, that is the only way you are going to learn and become confident

That's a great shot... and a sharp looking bike for such a distinguished lady. I love your hair! My hair also echoes the 'wisdom of my years'.. and I like to call it silver, not grey. (Somehow, that sounds better to me??) My bike is a little more mundane... a little vintage 1986 Rebel 450. Well aged, like me :) Perhaps someday I'll graduate to an FZ1.

I love your photo. I to am gray LOL. I think we suit motorcycles. Nice bike I ride a Suzuki 650 GSXF so kind of similar.
