Started riding at the age of 60. Took a 2 day safety class, passed got and my endorsement. then with help and encourgement from the husband we went to every bike shop and I sat on every single bike in each shop. My first bike was a Ninja 250, put about 3,700 miles on her then stepped up to a Yamaha FZ6. After about 8,000 miles on the 600 decided it was time to step up again. I will be 65 in March 2012 and I now ride a Yamaha FZ1 and have put about 15,000 miles on her. A lot of my miles are 1 & 2 day weekend trips mostly to Arkansas with my husband and sometimes friends. have also taken two long trips both to Tennessee, one to the "Drageon" and the other to Johnson City area to ride Hwy 421 "the Snake and the "Back of the dragon". We have a group of 4 sometimes upto 10 riders that ride together alot and the cool thing about this group is.. it is split 50/50, men and women and the will give the men a good run for their money
