I love traveling throughout the United States on two wheels, so the bike of choice is to ride on my "White Bunny Bike" for long or short trips. I have so much fun meeting new people throughout the US and when they find out that a woman is riding that big ol' Goldwing, it is even more fun.
Growing up I was scared to death of motorcycles, but in my early 40's I had a friend give a me ride on the bike of his bike, and WoW, did I ever get a thrill. But I wanted to be in control so I bought my first bike at 41 and I am still riding 30 years later.
Classes were not a popular thing on learning to ride so I contacted the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and they sent me a whole bunch of literature on how to ride, and I taught myself how to ride a motorcycle. Twenty years later I took the MSF Rider course and still learned some things about riding safely. Since then I have taken the Experienced Rider Course twice and still re-learn safe riding techniques.
Bikes that I have owned: 1979 Suzuki GS 425E (it had idiot lights to show what gear I was in), 1989 Honda GL1500 (first Goldwing), 1999 Honda GL1500 (first Goldwing to totally destroy), 1993 Honda Shadow 600 (what a step down), 1993 Honda GL1500, 2002 HD Heritage Softail Class (still riding this one) and finally the 2005 Honda GL1800 (White Bunny Bike).
