Grabbing Life by the Handlebars
by Edna "Lil Bit"
My first time on a bike was riding behind a guy. The experience was okay but the thrill of riding did not actually consume me until I got behind the handlebars and felt the throbbing under my palms. I knew then I was the one in control! Exit number one on the road to bikerchick independence- owning my own Honda Shadow VLX 600. Next stop- forming my own Chrome Divas all female motorcycle group chapter enjoying the road with like-minded women sharing adventures along the way. It's sisterhood at it's best. While I did enjoy the Honda VLX, I wanted more power and bought an additional bike which is my pride and joy: a Harley-Davidson Low Rider 1350 cc's. Girls ride Harleys too! There is no looking back now and I have over 13,000 miles under my belt. It's the best feeling in the world!
