The best way I have found to prevent helmet head is to wear a Motorcycle Helmet Liner to keep your hair in place under a helmet (or a hat for that matter). Personally, I wear one made by CrownWear (I prefer the Ultimate, but they have a few new Ultra-Thins that would probably work well to keep your hair in place too).
