by Lisa Boissonneault
(Maine)

I recently purchases a 2010 Fat Boy Lo. I was wondering if any of you ladies had pictures to share. I want to buy saddle bags and a windshield and would love to see any pictures you all can share. Much thanks!

Fat Boy Lo Saddle Bags
by: Lisa

Marilyn,
Thanks so much for your post. I was away when you posted and am finally getting caught up on being back to real life.
I understand your sadness at putting a windshiled and bags on your bike. I feel the exact same way. I can't see my original post from this page - did I mention that I have a single seat? Makes her look even meaner.
Still haven't made either purchase. Will definetly look for your picture on the forum. Dying to see what your windshield looks like. Put on 65 miles last monday and was tired from wrestling her in the wind.
Maybe you can tell me where you bought your bags? Thinking of going off market since HD is so expensive.
Wishing you fun and safe riding and thanks again, Lisa

I own a 2012 Fattie

Denim Black. sexy boytoy.
I have a stingray smoked black windshield...cost a lot, but worth it! I hated putting bags and a windshield on him, but I had too for traveling and commuting to work daily with a PC in tow. I have a set of synthetic bags on...almost got the quick release one, but we talked thru it and I figured the amt. of times I would remove them would be few and far between. So we got the permanent ones. The only advantage I can see having the quick remove ones would be for washing/cleaning the bike to get to the rims and hardware back there...
Not sure how to attach a picture here...but I did post one of it on the main forum. You can't see the bags there, but you can see the windshield. A low profile shield that works awesome as it is curved @ the top and the wind rolls up and over your head....

My Fabulous Fat Boy
by: Anonymous

Lisa, my apologies for not writing sooner. My husband and I were away last week for a five day ride threw ME, NH, VT and NY for our anniversary. No, I didn't ride my new bike. Only had it a week before our trip.
While we were away, I had 4" risers (handle bars) put on. This and a "super reduced" seat solved my reach problems with the forward controls. I'm only 5'1" so that was a problem/concern for me as well. Rigth about now I'm missing my windshield but that will come soon. I put on about 230 miles with the stock handle bars. I didn't like the feel of riding "forward" but the ride home with the new bars has me going crazy to get back on for a good ride with the new bars. I'm sitting up nice and straight and it feels so good. My husband even took video of that ride home to show me how upright I am as I am one who can fixate on something and sitting similar to how I did on my other bike was a big deal to me. I forgot to mention that the super reduced seat is a sigle seat - looks wicked on that fat rear tire.
Thanks for letting me tell you about my new ride. Hope a Fat Boy Lo is in your future.
