have the tappets adjusted or it may be the camchane needs replcing or adjusted or a sparplug slight missfire fill the fuel tank up and add a cup of metho to help clean the carbbies out take it for a long ride diagones is chamchan addjustment or a slight missfire from spark plug or plug cap rubber

Service Records - Last valve adjustment?

Did you get any service records from the previous owner? Do you know when the bike had it's last valve adjustment? Top end noise like that could indicate intake or exhaust valves may be out of adjustment. Don't let this slide until catastrophic damage occurs.
