Ahhh, South Dakota While Doing Harley Davidson's ABC's of Touring in 2004
My bike is a 1994 Heritage Softail that I always say is a 'hand-me-down'.
That is because it was my husband Pat's bike first. He bought it new after a bad accident on a '66' Shovelhead Sportster. When the insurance settlement arrived, so did this pretty teal bike!
Pat decided in 2001 he wanted a bigger bike that he could jazz up to pull the trailer better so he got a 2000 Heritage Softail and I sold the beautiful black custom Sportster he'd made for me and got this bike in the deal!
I'm only 5'2" and this bike has been custom fit to me. We recently took our oldest granddaughter (15) from Michigan to Glacier National Park and back through Yellowstone and the Badlands. She rode with me the entire trip and never whined once about sore butt. What a girl, future lady biker!
