Any others out there?

I have been riding my own for three years but my husband sold his bike years ago and still doesn't have one yet, he supports me ridding by myself but even though I LOVE the beauty here in Beaver Dam, WI, I would love to meet up with some other fellow female riders out there. I'm planning a few trips this summer and I would love some company, or even just a weekend breeze on the bikes, any one out There ??

Riding Companions

Check out MotorMaids.Org on the net. There are women riders all over the U.S and Canada that can join you for a ride. With 25 some years riding under my wheels as a Motor Maid and an International Motorcycle Touring Club member, I would never have traveled over 1/4 million miles by myself. An email won't cost you anything but will give you the knowledge that there are others out there looking for someone to ride with...

We have chapters in Madison (Sisters of the Moon Chapter, contact: mcjourney@charter.net) and Milwaukee (Milwaukee Area Chapter, contact: witw@womeninthewind-milwaukee.org .) Does that help? Looks like she's almost equidistant to each.

I am checking to see if there is a WITW chapter in your area, Angela. I love riding with my gal pals, so maybe if there is a chapter close and you aren't shy, you could show up for a meeting and find some pals to ride with. I will let you know the info when I find out.

I do a lot of riding on my own. My husband is a truck driver and not home all the time. I plan my own rides and sometimes he will throw out ideas for me. I call him before I leave and when I get back so he knows I'm alright. I have a friend who is taking the MSF course next month, and we can't wait to go ride. If you ever come to Western N.C. post your ride would like to meet you.

Wish We Were Closer!

I am in Texas but wish we were closer. I would love to be able to ride with you some. I only ride when my hubby rides as I don't have any lady riders here either. I know of a few of them but they can never seem to have time for riding. I could go anytime but their jobs come first and they still have children to raise also. I guess I'm lucky as mine are all grown now. Also my Mom passed away this past November and I was her caregiver so now I feel I have nothing left to do. I would love to just get on my bike and ride til I'm tired and not have any specific place to go just wherever the road takes me. That would be the life wouldn't it!
