2009 Kawaski Vulcan 500 - Metalic Imperial Red

Don't you just love red?

Don't you just love red?

Last summer I crossed getting my motorcycle endorsement off my "bucket-list" and attended the Motorcycle Ohio course. I bought my fist bike a few weeks later, a black 2007 Vulcan 500. Unfortunately, I put it under a guard rail and totaled it in August. All winter I dreamed of motorcycles, and spring came early in Ohio. I found this little sweetheart at my favorite shop in Upper Sandusky, and bought her on the spot. I am a girl however, and I just HAD to accessorize. I added a big windshield, engine guards, saddle bags, and some really obnoxiously bright LED brake lights. This size bike just feels right to me. It is heavy enough to let you know you have something under you, but not too much for me to handle. I can't keep up with my husband's Gold Wing, so instead I take the lead! That has it's own set of advantages too, because that means we go where I want to go! I am really looking forward to putting some road under me this summer. Happy riding to you, and thanks for looking at my bike.

Hi, I also have the Vulcan 500 but I can't seem to find a windshield for it. Where did you find yours at please?

Thanks!

I too just started riding and got a 2009 Vulcan 900 Classic. Have the big windshield and saddlebags. Searching for engine guards and a backrest now. "Casper" hasn't takin' me too far since I'm a beginner, but I love the way he handles! Enjoy your beauty and safe riding!

Lawn Sign
by: Cathy

Thanks for noticing the lawn sign. I made sure it was in the picture. We bought ours from ABATE of Ohio Foundation. You can find them in several states. I saw a sign in a yard last summer, and I thought, "how cool is that?". I had to have one. We live on a very busy corner, and my little sign gets a lot of notice.

Beautiful bike! I just got my license about 3 years ago- started with a Suzuki Boulevard 800- like you said- heavy enough without being too heavy to handle...I just traded that in on a brand new Victory Vegas 1600- about 200 lbs heavier and lots more power. Give yourself a little time and you're going to want to get a bigger bike! In the meantime, enjoy your little beauty!!

Baby Blue
by: Diana Sharples

My first bike was a Kawasaki Vulcan 500! I loved it! Mine was bright blue, and a member of my riding club dubbed it "Baby Blue." However, it was hard for me to keep up with the bigger bikes in the group. I could do it, but it just felt like the engine was wide open. So last summer I purchased a Vulcan 900 Classic. I too accessorized! (Highway bars and light kit.) The bike is considerably heavier, but feels very stable and took only a little time for me to get used to. I miss my sweet little "Baby Blue" but "Crimson Queen" takes me everywhere I want to go.

Nice Sign
by: Toolie

Congrats on the lovely new bike - I really like the color.

Is that a lawn sign I see in the background? If so, where did you get it?
