2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic

by Becky
(Lynnwood, WA. USA)

For the love of riding...

For the love of riding...

The first thing I noticed about the Vulcan Classic was the look. Its styling is beautiful to me. Then I sat on the bike, and it was a perfect fit. Alot of bikes have components that hit me in the inner thigh and were not comfortable. The Vulcan fits my 5'3" frame, and my feet are flat on the ground(if I wear my Harley boots with about 1-1/2 in heels) The bike is fuel injected, so needs no choke, no warm-up, and purrs from the moment you start it. I love the low rumbling sound. Not too loud, but cool. Handling is easy, although the weight of the bike is something I am still getting used to. I can't wait for next summer to take some overnight trips. So far the Vulcan seat is comfortable and the floor boards are a dream!

Love My 2007 Vulcan 900 Classic
by: Vance

I was on Craig's list last week and came across a silver 2007 Vulcan Classic. At a price of $2200 with 7700 miles, I had to check it out. Glad I did because it runs and rides like a well engineered bike should. Handles well for what it is. Brakes are pretty good too. The new Metzlers were a nice plus. I went online and everyone had nothing to say but good things about the 900 Vulcan. I am looking forward to putting some miles on this beauty.

Classic 2008
by: Anonymous

I happened to find a 2008 Classic with less than 1000 miles on it. It looks and rides like new. Great bike. Very versatile. You can take it for quick trips around town and it rides comfortably on the highway too.
I was a little concerned at first about the size and weight, but quickly got used to handling it. This bike will suit and wide range of riders.

A VN900 rider from Down Under
by: Dallas

I love these bikes....
I just bought a 2008 model... red, like yours.
I went down to the bike "bling" shop and spent near $AUS2,000 on aftermarket goodies... It looks awesome now.
Great to ride, nice low seat hieght... the only thing I'm not impressed with is the tires..
The bike only had 3,400 miles on it when I bought it.. it now has 3,800 miles on it and the rear Dunlop D404 is shot... I am changing both tires to Metzler Marathon M880's...
Possibly the only other glitch is the fuel gauge - it's totally inaccurate on mine.. I just use the trip meter to tell how much is in the tank.
My lady has just bought a 2005 Yamaha XVS650 V-Star.. so we can now cruise together.. all is good.
Ride Safe and Ride Far

What's another year
by: Sjaak Abma

What do I see, nobody in the last year did post a message even though it's so nice to ride a Vulcan 900.
Come on everybody and leave your experience to share whit us.
I can tell you that we rode several trips this year, in Holland and also in Germany.
Now my Kawasaki stands with the Honda of my wife inside the garage for the winter.
At the moment the only thing we can do with motorriding is surfing on the internet to enjoy it and put my message on this nice side.

one year later
by: Sjaak Abma

One year and more than 10.000 km fearther I can tell you that my experience with my Kawasaki VN 900 is very good.
I went with a couple of friends to Scotland for one week and what we've seen there was very beautiful. Especially here we got used to each other. So I can tell you that it is a wonderfull bike to see, but also to ride.

Kind Regards, Sjaak Abma

I did it.
by: Guy

I am 56 years old and have wanted a cruiser since I was 13 years old. Life and raising 4 kids got in the way of my owning a cruiser long enough. I got a deal I could not refuse on a Red Vulcan Clasic. I took it home and said to my wife of 35 years meet my new Mistress. It is in storage for the winter, but I am getting my licence in the spring after cycle safety training. Then I will try very hard to wear it out. I checked out a lot of bikes over the years but the Vulcan is it for me. I love the look and feel of it. I call my bike Lavern, it just suits her.
Ride Safe.

My new Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic
by: Jill - Salt Lake City

I started with a scooter (Yamaha Majesty 400 cc) last fall because I was nervous about learning to ride, and learning to shift at the same time. I took a basic rider course this summer, and just bought my new Vulcan 900 Classic. Haven't been out of our state fair parking lot yet, but anxious to get out and ride!

Blue 900
by: Kevin

I rode dirt bikes in high school and had a couple of small street bikes in college. Didn't ride for 21 years and at the age of 46, I just bought a new 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900. I haven't even topped 200 miles yet, but I am thrilled I made this decision. The bike seemed big at first but now after only a couple of weeks it feels and handles great. I did my research before buying - considered a V-Star and a Shadow - but ultimately settled on the Vulcan.

Vulcan 900 Classic My Next Bike
by: Anonymous

I started out on a 50cc scooter at the age of 47. I am now going on 54 and this is going to be my next bike I am hoping to have one in the next few months. I have always been a cruiser at heart and I think I am finally ready to learn to shift. I just turned over 30,000 miles on my Suzuki Burgman and am looking forward to starting a new chapter.

Vulcan 900 Classic
by: Anonymous

I think this will be the last bike I will ever need. It is big and fast enough to haul a pillion and keep up at freeway speeds. The best l@@king motorcycle out there no matter the cost of the bigger more expensive beast that are so hard to ride, In slow traffic and park in a parking spot. Try backing a 900 + pound monster in a parking spot. People don't need to spend upwards of $15000.00 dollars to have a comp edit motorcycle

New Vulcan 900
by: sjaak abma

Hello, after searching for a while I found a brand new VN 900. I bought my bike in a motorstore in Bodegraven, a city in the Netherlands about 50 km from Amsterdam.

After driving for five years on a Vulcan 800A, I look forward to drive on my new bike.

In February 2011 we drive our first tour of the year with motorclub www.mtcdesteur.nl from Kampen

Kind Regards,

Sjaak Abma

Check it Out
by: Tom

I bought my first ever bike, a 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic. At 45, I can't believe I didn't do this sooner in life. The bike is a great fit for me. And, seeing how I just became a new rider, the weight and size of the Vulcan is perfect to learn on. I encourage anyone who is undecided to get on a bike of their choice, doesn't have to be a Vulcan, and just ride. You won't look back...riding is like soaring, open and free.

Love Mine
by: David

My first 900 was a 2006 right off the show room floor. Loved it. Two years later, totaled it. Went back to the dealer for a 2008. I can pack an ice chest on the rear, the leather bags behind me. No problem with the extra load. I found the 900 has enough power for what ever i want to do, yet small enough to handle.

VN900 Classic
by: Jo

I bought my 2009 Kawasaki VN900 Classic a week before I took the Rider's Edge Motorcycle Safety Course at the Harley dealership. A Softail Deluxe was my dream bike, until I got on the Vulcan. Perfect width, perfect height ( I'm 5'5' ) and the weight just took some practice. I love how it handles, purrs, and looks like a more pricey bike. I have the Diamond Diablo Black and I named "HIM" Casper. My car is a female ... my bike is a Male! I'm a month shy of my 48th birthday and I can cross this off my bucket list. I'd highly recommend this bike for any woman (or man) and for the beginner. Happy and safe riding ladies!

My first bike~!
by: Lovinlife41

I have been waiting for my 2010 Vulcan 900 Classic. I went to a bike show in February and did all the research and came up with ... the Vulcan is the bike for me.

I have always been a passenger on a Harley and now it's my time. I have been riding for years and now it's my turn to take the leap to getting my own bike.

I am 5'6 and it's perfect for my height and the center of gravity is right on the money~! This bike is beautiful and you get "the look" when you ride. Have a lot of power and is very comfortable for long rides.

Sending wishes of safe travel to all who ride~!

Mine is a 2007 Classic
by: GrammyRides

I enjoy when guys pulling up next to me at a stop light are so surprised as I'm 5'5" and 120 lbs, they always ask me how I can handle such a bike... I like how light the bike is and how well it is balanced. I have the Candy Cardinal Red one!

I Loved My Vulcan
by: VaVaVroom

I had a 2003 800cc Vulcan Classic, the precursor to the 900. It was a great bike and I love the look. I love even more what they have done with the 900.

Just Ordered Mine!
by: Martin

Read all your comments. Very encouraging as I am taking a bit of a leap of faith (last bike was a BMW GS): Just got back from Afghan, saved the cash but end of season could not get a test ride...ordered one anyway...can't wait! About 3 weeks before I pick it up. Hoping for some decent weather. Your comments reinforce my belief that this is the bike for me! Thanks.

I just recently bought a 900lt 2009 after having 2 Harley's because it is lighter. I think you will find this bike a real breeze to ride. Best bang for the buck out there. Good luck and enjoy...

Vulcan 900
by: Ernest

I bought a 2008 Vulcan 900 in August. I now have over 6,000 Mi on it. I love this bike. It has enough power even for two up riding. What more can I say that has not already been said. This bike by far was and is the best choice for me.

Great Bike
by: Kruser

Yes, as everyone said; VN900 is a great bike.

I bought mine 2 months ago and I've enjoying every second of riding it.

It has plenty of power for cruising and it looks great.

I would like to replace the stock seat soon.

Ride Safe,

Kruser from Sydney, Australia

I also have a 2006 Vulcan 900LT. I got my bike in August of this year, (2008) Red and Black. What a bike WoW. I have had mine on an overnight trip around 445 miles and never got tired of riding. I am 56 years old and this is my second bike. I learned on a Suzuki Savage 650 and 3mo later I have my Vulcan. My riding group are planning to ride to Deadwood, South Dakota next June. You are never to old to ride.

When I'm ready to trade in my sport bike, I may have to investigate the Vulcan. It truly is a beautiful bike!
