2004 BMW R1200C

by Desiree
(WA, USA)

I have to pick only ONE bike? I've got 17 of them! (well, technically 14 different ones, I have two pair of three of them, his and hers you'd say).

Why so many? Because there isn't ONE perfect bike for me. I do lots of different types of riding and one bike does not fit all. Can't expect my R1200C to take me off onto a rocky, pitted Forest Service dirt road, now can I? And my little Honda CRF230L can't be expected to maintain, much less reach, 75 mph on the freeway. Bikes for commuting, bikes for traveling, bikes for the dirt, bikes because they are unique and bikes just because.

There are sooo many neat bikes out there. Having only one bike would be like having only one pair of shoes. Besides, my 'garage' is bigger than my house. what better way to fill it up? :-)

I Thought I was THE ONLY One!
by: Lauren

We have 11 running bikes, 3 needs some waking up, several that would need open heart surgery. I'm the only girl I know that's his way. It's all my husbands fault, he has always browsed junk yards for cars, and it made me start. So when I run across something, I just have to have it! I favor the early 70's bikes, I guess cuz that's when I started riding. My bikes take up a lot less room than his cars, hehe.

My Herd

No, I don't rob banks........would be embarrassing if one of my officers or deputies had to arrest me.... DOH!!!

Most of the bikes have their own purpose, Honda Rebels & 250cc Ninja for commuting, pair of F650GS's and a Honda 230CRF for dirt, R1200C, and a pair of Guzzi Californias for cruising, three 70's era BMW just because I like the old airheads. Honda Shadow and Triumph Bonneville were our first 'step up' bikes from the Rebels that we learned to ride on. Just can't seem to find it in my little heart to sell any of them. Just wish I had more time to ride.

No real 'vintage' bikes, do own a 1978 BMW R45/N. 450cc bike that was never imported here to the states. Too bad, cause it rides better than most of the other ones.

I'll get around to posting pics maybe this weekend.

And People Thought I Was Bad...
by: Quicklimegirl

..hell I only have 7 bikes (+ 3 non-runners awaiting resurrection/restoration).

Desiree, do you have any vintage bikes? What part of WA are you in? I'm in Vancouver, just N. of Portland, OR.

Hope to see you on the road somewhere. That is, if they don't all get washed out by the winter storms!

Wow, Can I Come to Your House!
by: gina

I wish :) I could have more but sadly I live in an apartment. I'm lucky that I have the one I have and I will always at least have one if not two MC's.
Since learning to ride this last year, I'm in the process of seeing what will be my next bike.

Maybe you could browse yours heheh lol
