'07 Honda Shadow Aero Classic VT750

I'm 54yo now, almost 3 years ago I actually I made a goal for myself to lose 100 lbs and then I would reward myself with a motorcycle. I was so happy when I met my goal. Been riding for a little over one year now after taking an ABATE rider's course to learn how to operate one. I joke around with people and say "Ex would teach me how to ride his Sportster so I got rid of him and saved up enough cash to buy my "Shadow". I've lost and have maintained over 110 lbs so far. Have fun and be safe!!

Thank you for the sincere words of encouragement. I've enjoyed reading the stories on here and hearing about the different bikes everyone has operated from HD's to Honda's and Kawasaki's.
My 750 Honda is just right for a less experienced rider. Sits just low enough for my short legs too, I'm just under 5'5" so it's very comfortable and more than enough power to keep up with the bigger bikes on those charity rides. Wide comfortable seat makes it nice for those long rides too.

Congratulations on your new bike. I started with a '99 Honda Ace, then an '06 Aero and now have an '08 Aero. Love that bike, since it's low to the ground it's so much fun to ride. Hope you enjoy it for many years to come. (And congrats on the weight loss... woo-hoo!)
